Once upon a time, at Ukado Community Secondary School (UCSS), Ukado, there was a student called Ibro. Almost every body in the school liked him. Even the principal liked him. This was because, Ibro was very intelligent. Ibro became very popular in the school that had a population of over three thousand students. He earned the popularity just within two weeks of his resumption. He was in J.S.S one, but he could read very faster than even the final year students. Whenever a teacher entered their class and taught a new topic, Ibro would understand immediately and explain to his classmates after the closing hour. Here is a short reminder directed towards my fellow students of Humanities and Social Sciences . It seems many have forgotten that the world has been configured to rank papers higher than brains. Though not always, but usually, those with papers find their ways up there faster than those with brains, for it has been ignored that those with the best papers do not always have the best brains. Since that has become the way of the world, I enjoin you to consider bandwagon . Do the necessary things and pass your examinations with ease so you could get hold of a clean certificate. My few years in the academia have shown me two basic things required to be successful in the fields of Humanities and Social Sciences. The first requirement is the use of language. The world is a combination of me and them, and such is one of the numerous reasons for me to continue striving towards being myself. Be yourself because pretence will lead you nowhere. Never live the life of another man, for no matter what, the world cannot have a uniform opinion concerning you. They cannot have a central perception of you. Oh!
