THE LONG OVERLOOKED
Here is a short reminder directed towards my fellow students of Humanities and Social Sciences. It seems many have forgotten that the world has been configured to rank papers higher than brains. Though not always, but usually, those with papers find their ways up there faster than those with brains, for it has been ignored that those with the best papers do not always have the best brains.
Since that has become the way of the world, I enjoin you to consider bandwagon. Do the necessary things and pass your examinations with ease so you could get hold of a clean certificate. My few years in the academia have shown me two basic things required to be successful in the fields of Humanities and Social Sciences.
The first requirement is the use of language. The extent to which you master the use of English Language determines (most times) the grades you attain in your assessments. As you develop your vocabulary with all means possible, study the art of composition and garnish such with the rules of the language. I would suggest you check the nearest bookshop for Brighter Grammar, the affordability of which cannot be overemphasised. Language is stressed herein because the study of concepts is basic in the aforementioned fields.
However, to score a clean goal, your mastery of language should be complemented with imagination. Develop your imaginative ability, for that will make you a fast thinker who can support arguments with convincing facts that only exist in the world of imagination.
The above tips, if taken seriously and applied properly, will abruptly multiply the testimonies we here from students. Notwithstanding, books must be read; lectures must be attended; course mates must be consulted; plus other necessary things you could think of.
You have made a wonderful contribution, what a nice piece more grease to your elbow my dearest brother. In fact all that you have said make sense, and if someone may decide to apply these into practice he will soon have a good price of change.
ReplyDelete...glad to get that.
